Overview

What it is.

The Clause Library holds your clause templates, drafting rules, negotiation tactics and fallback-ladder rungs. Editing an approved clause writes the next version as a pending revision; the approved version stays in force until an admin accepts the change. A clause that was never approved is edited in place and goes back to draft.

Approval, rejection and retirement are for company admins, and not the revision's own author — unless they are the organisation's only admin. Restore makes an old version the new one. Redline positions, negotiation playbooks, template grounding and the fallback resolver read only clauses that are approved and inside their effective window. The audit names ids, version numbers and field names, never the clause text.

How it works

Three steps.
End to end.

01
1. Add or edit

Contracts & Documents › Create & Draft › Clause Library.

02
2. Approve

An admin other than the author accepts or rejects the pending revision.

03
3. In force

The approved version, within its effective dates, is what the AI drafting and redlining read.

FAQ

Quick answers.

Can a draft clause leak into a redline?

No. Drafts, pending revisions, retired clauses and clauses outside their window are never read by the AI.

Where do saved answers go?

Takeaways and compliance notes are knowledge rather than standards; they live on Saved Answers & Takeaways.
