What it is.
Anyone with a LexVio account can write for the blog: on a trial, on an expired trial, in any role, from the desk or the phone. There is no plan gate in front of it. You write in Markdown, preview exactly the HTML readers will get, save drafts, and submit when it is ready. An editor reviews it and publishes it to the edition's site, or sends it back with a note you can act on. A submitted post can be withdrawn while it is waiting.
Your byline and author profile — name, headline, firm, bio, photo, links — are yours. A visibility switch, on by default, decides whether the profile is shown; the editor holds a separate veto, and the veto wins. Images are uploaded through the app and served by the API from private storage — the bucket is never public, so an image URL is an address we control, not a bucket address. Published posts appear at /blog on this site.

Markdown, with a preview that renders through the same sanitiser the public page uses. Upload images from the editor. Save as many drafts as you like.
Submit locks the post while an editor reads it. Withdraw takes it back to a draft. A rejected post comes back with the editor's note and can be edited and resubmitted.
The editor states the edition it is published to and it appears on that site's /blog, under your byline if your profile is visible. You are notified either way.

No. Submit is as far as an author can push a post; publication is an editor's action. That is deliberate — the blog carries the product's name.
Yes. Turn the profile switch off and the byline and author page are withheld. An editor can also hide a profile, and the editor's setting wins.
No. Writing for the blog is open to every account; an expired trial can still draft, submit and be published.
