Income tax analysis
BetaA slab-accurate income-tax computation with §87A and surcharge marginal relief, and an advance-tax schedule.
- ✓New-regime slab computation for the current assessment year, with the working shown
- ✓§87A rebate including the marginal-relief proviso
- ✓Surcharge with marginal relief at each threshold, cess, and §288B rounding
- ✓Advance-tax instalment schedule
What it is.
Give it a gross total income, whether the taxpayer is salaried, and an assessment year, and it returns the tax with the working shown slab by slab. The engine underneath is careful in the places that usually go wrong: the §87A rebate with its new-regime marginal-relief proviso, surcharge with marginal relief at each threshold, cess, and §288B rounding.
Be clear about the scope. This is a computation engine, not a return reviewer. It does not read your ITR, your Form 16 or your 26AS, it does not take deduction inputs, and it does not check 80C, 80D, 80G, HRA or capital gains against your figures. The old-regime tables are implemented but are not yet reachable over the API, so what you can call today computes the new regime.
Three steps.
End to end.
Gross total income, salaried or not, and the assessment year.
Tax per slab, rebate, surcharge, cess and the rounded liability — each step visible, not a single number.
Get the advance-tax instalment schedule for the year from the computed liability.
What you get.
- ✓New-regime slab computation for the current assessment year, with the working shown
- ✓§87A rebate including the marginal-relief proviso
- ✓Surcharge with marginal relief at each threshold, cess, and §288B rounding
- ✓Advance-tax instalment schedule
- ✓Separately: the Income Tax Act 1961 to 2025 concordance, which resolves an old section to its new one or refuses rather than guessing
Quick answers.
No. There is no return parser and no document upload on this surface — it takes figures, not files.
No. There is no 26AS or AIS integration.
Not through the API yet. Both regimes are implemented — the old-regime tables, rebate and surcharge logic are all there — but only the new regime is currently exposed as an endpoint.
No. Filing routes to the IT portal or your CA's filing software.
